Do you have a particular place in South Hero that you love and would like to help maintain? Maybe it’s one of our community gardens (we have two!), a public trail (six miles, with more coming soon!), or a natural area like the Rec Park?
If yes, please come to our Spring Volunteer Training event! SHLT will be sharing information about the many different volunteer opportunities we have coming up in 2025.
As always, we’ll have volunteer work parties throughout the year, at which anyone is welcome. SHLT has also launched a new program for volunteers who’d like to take on more leadership of a specific site: the Volunteer Land Stewards! SHLT and current Land Stewards will share how this program works and answer any questions folks have. At the end of the info session, you’ll have the chance to sign up for a site.
We’ll also be covering some basic volunteer skills, with hands-on field training happening at a work party later in the spring.
Please let us know you’re coming by using this RSVP Form
Light food and beverages will be provided.
Meeting site information: We’ll be meeting in the Community Room of the Worthen Library. The room is accessible via stairs or elevator from the main entrance, or directly from the back parking lot along a paved walkway. For more accessibility information, please go to WorthenLibrary.org
